Katherine is an important emerging artist among the second generation of acrylic painters. She has been painting since 1986, and has developed a style that is reminicient of her famous mother, Papunya Tula Artist Walangkura Napanangka. Katherine paints sacred women‘s sites around the Kintore region that are important to Katherine and her ancestors. The dynamic vibrant ways in which Katherine depicts these stories has been recognised by leading Aboriginal art galleries and collectors around Australia.
