Women's Ceremony

Pantjiya is a talented and highly collectable Aboriginal artist who began painting for Papunya Tula artists in the mid-1990‘s. She began painting with the traditional colours of black, white and yellow ochre, all of which she still uses though she has added bright blues, pinks and greens to create vibrant, mesmerising displays of depictions of her Dreamings. She was born in the bush near Haast's Bluff prior to the mission being developed. Pantjiya was the wife of George Maxwell Jangala (dec) also a Papunya Tula Artist.
