Hughie Ahwon is an artist from the Kimberly region, and his art style is unique among his peers. Usually incorporating 'Wandjinas' - cloud and rain spirits that have been present in artworks from Northwestern Australia for over 4000 years, and often utilizing ochre and acrylic paint in concert to create great texture and depth to his work - Hughie has an immediately recognisable style.
